Every child a winner at Portmarnock AFC Soccer Blitz

Up to 90 youngsters participated in this year's Portmarnock AFC Summer Soccer Blitz at the club's Paddy's Hill complex held on Saturday, June 2, 2005. Boys and girls aged between six and eleven years participated in the day's programme of organised activity in perfect conditions. Every child came away with a trophy or a medal after participating in small sided games during special League and Plate competitions.
Seven-a-side managers and players from our Under 11, 12, and 13 teams managed teams of youngsters as they took part in the fun. The games were refereed by three local officials and the children were grouped into Senior (10-11 years), Intermediate (8-9 years) and Juniors (6-7 years).
Parents, friends and families encouraged the youngsters, some of whom were playing organised football for the first time. During breaks the children enjoyed the contents of 'goodie' bags made available thanks to sponsors.
"We were really pleased with the way the day went. Paddy's Hill is a great venue and the weather was great," said one of the chief organiser's Kieron King. "We hope the children and their families really enjoyed themselves and that some of the players and their parents will now join our club and get involved with teams for the new season," he added.

TopSeason 2005/2006 Final Official Club Trials
August 6th – 7th, 2005
Portmarnock AFC will be hosting final pre-season official club trials on August 6 & 7 next at the PSLC. Trials will be held on Saturday, August 6th for Under 7's up to Under 11's. On Sunday, August 7th Under 12's to Under 18's are invited to attend. Both events start at 11:00am. We look forward to seeing you all there!
