Match Report: NDSL Under 12 D
Portmarnock 3 – 2 Kinsealy Boys

Following two narrow defeats in the League and Cup to Kinsealy before Christmas, the first game of 2008 saw the league leaders make the short trip to Carrickhill for what turned out to be a very entertaining game.
The teams have been well matched in recent seasons and another close game was expected with Portmarnock taking an early lead when Wesley Lennon met a Luke Kavanagh corner on the near post and gave the Kinsealy keeper no chance of stopping the header into the top corner.
Kinsealy equalised right on half time but Portmarnock had been the better side in the first half and carried on where they left off with goals from Karl Murray and Sam Boland giving the home side a 3–1 lead with fifteen minutes to go.
The lead could have been greater had some of the many chances created been taken with Paul Scully, Andy Killeen and Rebecca Hanratty causing all sorts of problems for the Kinsealy defence and Simon Lenihan and Luke O’Toole keeping it tight at the back.
A fine save by Curtis Hayden and a well timed saving tackle by Luke Dowd kept the advantage with the home side and even a late goal for Kinsealy two minutes from time was not enough to cause any concern leaving Portmarnock starting the New Year with an excellent win thanks to a terrific all round performance by the entire 17 players.

PAFC Sponsored Walk
Portmarnock AFC Sponsored Walk for 5 to 11 year olds will take place on Sunday 20th January 2008 at 14:30. Starting from PSLC and returning to PSLC for celebrations. The walk will be supervised by parents and members of our Ladies teams. Please attend and give the children your support.
